While we are on the subject.....is the Infantry School still in full operation? Are there still training conducted?

Infantry School is still going strong. They even "present" training decentralised.

Did my training back in '81 - called up to PTA as a Tiffy, (jumped ship as quick as I could) went to Kimberly to join 1 Intelligence school - the R1 was our service rifle, - did the JL course, and spent the rest of my two years as an leut in various places in SWA.

Those were good days,sanctions and all - never thought SA would end up the way it did a short 15 years later.
