Got to fiddle with one a year or two ago. Very nice. On 1x magnification it can be used as a red dot and on 4x it makes a very handy scope. You can choose whether only the dot or the entire reticle is illuminated. Close to R40k, depending on model, but very nice imo.

I took delivery of my C79 / SpecterOS3.4x on Tuesday. This particular one has the 7.62 reticle:

but am also toying with the idea of using it on my AUG given it is a NZ Service Rifle match code compliant optic even if it does look somewhat odd mounted to it:

I am hoping to put it to use this weekend but initial observations skulking around my house, is that it has an excellent field of view, the glass is as clear as anyone could expect. Bit heavier than its competitors but unless one has pipe cleaners for arms, I don't think one would really complain.
