Hunting Tsolwana and Oviston
I just came back from a 10 day hunt at Tsolwana and Oviston Nature reserve in the Eastern Cape.
Myself and my cousin bought 2 hunting packages for the following game.
Tsolwana
2x Black Wildebeest
2x Red Hartebeest
2x Kudu
3x Springbok
Oviston
2x Black Wildebeest
2x Red Hartebeest
1x Eland
1x Gemsbok
2x Springbok
We each shot one species each on the reserves and i took the Eland, Gemsbok and 9 Warthogs at Oviston, 2 very different places.
Very exciting hunting and lots and lots of walking involved.
I must of walked close to 100km over the 10 days.

Re: Hunting Tsolwana and Oviston
Hi Raw 1
Congratulations.
Nice photos and some nice animals there.
Good to see that you used the Ruger Scout in the Scout configuration with the scope mounted forward - so many guys use the conventional scope posiion on their Ruger Scouts.

Very nice, well done. I like the setup of the rifle. What sort of distances were they shot at, how did the 150gr pro amm perform, any bullet recoveries.(well all the animals are dead)

Re: Hunting Tsolwana and Oviston
From day one i was determined to make my scout a scout.
It took a while to wait for the scope, QD mounts, Rhodesian sling but it all worked as expected.
They size of an animal through the scope looked small at first at those distances but i quickly figured it out and the Leupold optics made everything clear, nice and bright.
