STICKEY: IDPA - New Shooter Information Packet
This a document with very relevant and interesting information that may be of value to new or interested shooters but maybe too voluminous to post here in complete detail. It includes the basics of IDPA rules and equipment requirements and some valuable practical and dry fire exercises.

Re: STICKEY: IDPA - New Shooter Information Packet
Thanks for taking the time to post this Khumba. I've been quite keen to tag along with SSP and BigT to an IDPA shoot. This gives me a good idea what to expect

Re: STICKEY: IDPA - New Shooter Information Packet
Thanks for the link.
There is talk to move away from IPSC and switch to IDPA at our local club. Will know after next AGM.
Been reading up on IDPA and seems like a better idea - especially if you carry concealed.

It is inevitable..
Prone to random kindness, lecherous behaviour, imitating D-cups at speed and an outstanding sense of humour. If you don't agree, well fuck you.

Re: STICKEY: IDPA - New Shooter Information Packet
So Khumba,
In Afrikaans now, explain to us what a 'normal' shoot is like for you guys on a range! Reading that manual, it seems like you guys sit in/behind a hide and take potshots at the targets!! hpy194
Just joking, obviously I am not informed but curious!
IPSC, in Windhoek at least, is sometimes a bit more energetic. We don't give a fart about cover since most of us are to big to fit behind anything anyway! So we just stand in the open, shoot away, then run our butts off to sight up with the next target and do the same all over!
