WE do the same type of active shooting that IPSC does but we

    1. do scoring on a time & points down calculation
    2. cannot miss fast enough to win a match
    3. are required to utilise cover and if you do not adhere you are penalised
    4. are not allowed to dump mags with ammo in them
    5. cover the "torso" of most of our targets with T-shirts or cloth in scenario stages
    6. are allowed limited amounts of mags on the belt and person as one would operate in normal SD carry
    7. use firearm concealment on all scenario shoots as one would in normal SD carry and prescribed by the law in SA
    8. use only "standard" handguns - no optics or comps
    9. use standard carry holsters as one would do for SD and concealment purposes
    10. equipment placement as one would do for SD and concealment purposes

we also pactice and use tactical reloads. this is so that, if time and scenario permits, then we change to a full mag immeditately, retaining the other mag with (for example) 3 rounds remaining in order that one always enters a gun fight with maximum ammo
