Re: Got DQ'ed today
Thx for sharing this reminder, which is it can and will happen, even with the very experienced / knowledgeable people as in this case.
So always follow the Gun Safety rules: (Learn them like you practice dry fire - Religiously!)
1. All guns are always loaded.
2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

If only. No, I'm very slow on ULSC.
So I ended on low cover, after a reload. Picked up my empty mag as I got up. When asked to ULSC, I had this mag in my hand, and then put it on the barricade, where it fell off. I think both my and the SO's attention was on this mag. From there I forgot to remove the mag in the gun, locked the slide open for the SO, closed it on command, and pulled the trigger on command.
The resultant bang was rather unexpected.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

Re: Got DQ'ed today
Sorry né. I reckon because you haven't been shooting for a while your cognitive skills have deteriorated a bit.
