Re: So what goes in an IFAK/First aid kit/medical bag.
Howdy folks, just a little necro here.
A company I've in the past recommended has got some great specials on IFAK refills.
Really top quality gear and affordable pricing.
Take a look at Meddev, they have put some stuff on Facebook this morning. I have no financial nor personal gain from this company.

Re: So what goes in an IFAK/First aid kit/medical bag.
I've asked this question before. Everyone always says "Get the training" but there just is NOT that many people that do this sort of training.
I've only seen a few places mentioned that cover things relating to gunshot wound stuff like tourniquets/chest seals/wound packing.
In Cape Town :
Multidimensional Warriors offer Fighting Injured courses.
Wild Medix offer bleeding control and tactical first aid courses
In JHB:
Mark Groome of 365 Training offers a Plug n Play workshop .
Cerberus Tactical Outfitters offered a Bleeding Control Class, but when I contacted them a month ago they told me the guy that did the courses is now overseas.
One or two guys on EDC SA facebook page have mentioned starting up some training but nothing concrete there.
It's also a good idea to get your first aid levels too.

I'm not familiar with the whose who in training up there, I believe 365 Training offers a decent plug and play course.
My suggestion would be to get hold of your local private ems guys amd ask them.

Re: So what goes in an IFAK/First aid kit/medical bag.
Reality is there are very few legitimate registered instructors who can teach outside of the basic of first aid.
Doing a first aid course would be beneficial in the interim.

Re: So what goes in an IFAK/First aid kit/medical bag.
Picked my IFAK up today. Good value for the money and friendly staff.
Planning to buy some more from them in the future.
