Think it will definitely add weight to the fact that it's from a reputable dealer like suburban!

That really sucks. I know the guys well at Surburban, they really know their Benellis
It may be a little late now, but when I bought my M4 it came with an info card in the box. This card states barrel and frame serial number as well as model number, also, what manual was sent with the shottie? That should also confirm which shottie you recieved

Think you need to re-read the law regarding defamation. Even if true you may not wilfully ruin the reputation of a person.

But yes naming and shaming an unscrupulous businessman is not defamatory

Will name and shame in due course depending on the outcome of this. If handled well and refunded I might not but as far as I know not any of the dealers that advertise etc on this site

Sounds like you are on the right track to fix it, sorry it happened, it must suck.

I wonder if it was an error tagging it at the GS or if the sales person was just mistaken. As much as we'd like them to be perfect errors do happen. I hope it was not intentional.

I have read it, and I've had it tested against me. Web sites like hellopeter wouldn't exist if people couldn't complain publicly. It's also less likely to meet the definition of defamation if it's in the public interest e.g. warning other people not to be caught out the same way.
