Advice needed - guns sold 10 years ago not yet transfered

Hi guys,

So today while chatting guns with my 89 year old grandfather, he was talking about his old guns.
He sold 3 firearms to a dealer in 2007. I thought I should phone the CFR and check if they have been transferred off his name.

Turns out, they are still on his name after all these years.
The gun dealer he sold them to was liquidated and the guns were now in the hands of their former owner in 2014. This guy contacted my grandfather to get a copy of his ID in 2014 for a new transfer of ownership form, but it seems those forms were never processed, nor were the 2007 forms it seems.
Got the guys details but the cellphone number is not going through, hope he hasn't changed numbers.

Still have copies of the paperwork from 2014. Not sure if the earlier 2007 paperwork was kept.

Any ideas/suggestions as to what needs to be done ?
