Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
Has anyone needed to source any internal parts for their Dashprod semi SG?
Broke the extractor yesterday at a club shoot and need to find a replacement.
I will contact Dave Sheer on Monday, but any other suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
GOOD TO KNOW:
I contacted Dave Sheer who brought in the Dashprod semi auto's from Akkar.
Pleased to say it seems they are still stocking all the relevant spare parts for the shotgun.
Ordered the extractor and plunger last week and it is on the way to me this week.
Nice to know we can get spares locally...

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
Some potentially useful info:
Also had a great experience with Dave Sheer helping to ship me a new extractor with plunger and spring.
FYI - when the extractor arrived, I thought it was damaged, but apparently there is supposed to be a split in the ring of the extractor.
This is where mine broke, so not a great design, but that's how it is supposed to be.
I am attaching a picture of the new extractor so you can see what it is supposed to look like...

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
Thanks for the update, GlockForce (and for adding to this thread, which is and continues to be a useful resource for SAR Dashprod owners in SA).

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
I am about a month away from buying a new shottie, are these Dashprods still holding up, or have flaws started showing?
Semi or Pump ?
I just want it reliable, semi or pump?

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
I think there are much better options available these days than the Dashprods depending on your budget and application of the shotgun.

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
In the same vein as the 'why glock' type threads, reliability and spares and accessory support would be my main selection criteria even if the gun was purely for fun. The ubiquity of Mossberg, Winchester and Remington shotties in our market would push me in that direction before something a little more niche. Unless you throw your own shot and slugs from lead you get for free the cost of feeding a shotgun will rapidly match or exceed the saving in purchase price.
