Default Mossberg 500 with some upgrades.

I changed the original stock to a Hogue youth one (some advice I got from BigT a long time ago.), I also got a Magpul front-end with a pic rail from Hailstorm and a Nitecore Srt7 light to round it off. Also a Hi viz fibre sight from Bronwels. With the 16" barrel the gun is light and balanced. I can live with the 5+1 capacity and 4 extra shells on the side. I do have a belt with another 25 shell I can quickly strap on ready for some action if need be. I reckon its a good gun for the price and make for some good fun on the range. Put some 50 7,s 28gr through her 2 weeks back and she was great fun. Nothing like racking that pump and then go bang. Here are some fotos.

Nice. The LOP of most shotguns is way too long for me, which is why I went with the Magpul, same reasoning as the Youth stock.

Does the shell holder hold onto the shells tight enough that way up?

They do hold well even while shooting.

Really nice set up, may ask how you secured the hi viz front sight? I removed mine because it shifted around with the slightest bump!

You fit the hiviz over the original. Mine moved around till I fitted it over the original bead.

That is exactly what you do. The original bead fits in a hole in the front. Easy as that.

Good looking set-up. have had a 500 as my''working shottie '' for over 25 years....never a problem......its now back to work in my log-salvage boat for a little protection from grizzly on the rocky beaches of the islands off the east coast of north central VANCOUVER Island.....
