Cool Precision Rifle Series Club Match Gauteng - Broederstroom

Precision Rifle Series finally hits Gauteng.

Long Range Shooting SA is hosting a PRS Club match on Saturday the 22nd of July at the Long Range Shooting SA Facility, Broederstroom, Gauteng.
    http://longrangeshootingsa.co.za/

    Match overview:

    • 1 day of shooting (± 4-6 hours)
    • 6 stages
    • Minimum 60+ rounds (skill dependent, see Divisions)
    • Each stage will have 8-12 target opportunities
    • Stages will have tight par times
    • Target distances 100-1000 meters, most within 300-800 meters
    • Targets are between 1.5-4 MOA
    • Stage props to be used on some stages
    • Movement within some stages
    • Unconventional shooting positions might be required

If you're interested, the best thing to do is DIVE IN with whatever rifle and gear you have, and borrow kit from other shooters in your squad as needed.

All you really need is a rifle (.223 - .338 : max 3200fps), eye and ear protection, scope, bipod, 60+ rounds of ammo, and a pair of binos.
Stuff we (and other squad members) will probably be able to lend you: Tripod, Kestrel, various rear bag sizes, etc.

Contact Sean Pirie to get more information and secure your slot... info@longrangeshootingsa.co.za.

Look forward to seeing you guys there !

How is ranging done, rangefinders allowed? Do we shoot as teams or individually?

    Entry fee is R450

All ranges are given to you for every target, but if you have a rangefinder, it's good to bring along to confirm.
Shooting is individually, but in Squads, so you get to learn from the other shooters around you.

This is a club match, and everyone will assist you as much as possible to have a great PRS shooting experience.

I doubt I will make the shoot, but could you let us know where exactly the range is?
I would love to drag out my 308 to extended ranges, not likely to hit anything but hey, if you don't try you will never know

Give Sean a call at LRSA:

You'd be surprised just how far you'll take your 308.

Pity I wont be able to make this one. The entry fee is also a bit prohibitive for me, combined with 60+ rounds.

Another question, are muzzle brakes allowed?

Yes, muzzle brakes and suppressors are allowed.
