License application

Hi All

New to the site found it while on google trying to figure out the timelines for a new application.

Hoping I can get an idea of what the timelines are.

I am based in the WC handed my application for a new firearm in on the 9 May and the relevant station with all supporting documents and to date still waiting.

The status seems to be in for consideration since 21 June. Has anyone else experience this?

From CPT it varies. As the apps only go up to CFR once a month.
Usually in first week of month. If you hand in close to truck leaving.
Your DFO will not be able to finish work on app and have it on this truck.
Then it basically will take a month before it gets on new truck.

Yours is further being in for consideration.
It usually sits there for about 2 weeks at least.
Sometimes with luck shorter. But mostly at least 2 weeks.
I have waited also up to 4 weeks once.
As the Col who needed to sign off on it was on Inspections at provinces.

The Col who use to sign of WC apps use to be female Col Skakhani.
Not sure if she is still there.

However. With CFR loosing the last court action.
I am myself fearing they will have a backlash at owners.
By stalling processing apps like in past.
But this is just my personal thought on it.

Thanks man. Spoke to her yday she is no longer there.
The guys I spoke to in pretoria said it is rather long on that status. Apparently it is waiting for scanning to take place. Guess it is best to just hang back then and forget about it until I receive the sms.
