Rubbish. "All women police station"!! What a load.

The only female specific provisions are that the arrestee must be searched by a female officer and kept in a cell seperate from male prisoners.

With that said , Dont know if you guys have had any dealing with metro lately ?

They wanted to arrest me yesterday in a RD Block because I did not have a number plate on my scooter (which Is brand new and I am waiting for the papers from the dealer)
I understand I broke the LAW , But surely that is not ground for arrest ? I was happy to take my fine and pay that , BUT I was told no fine unless I have 1500 Cash on me.
I told them to go to hell and that I was going to phone my lawyer , They told me to leave before they take me down to the cop station toe teach me some manners.


A friend of mine left a resturant on friday eve in 4 ways and was pulled over by 4 metro cops. They shoved him in the back of the van and searched he's car , they took 1000 rand cash in he's wallet and he's 5 grand watch. He was then also told to leave before he gets locked up for the weekend. They did not tell him what he's offence was


WTF is happening with these guys ? Is traffic offences in SA now Schedule one offences or what

Anyone going through a Red Traffic light may be prosecuted, irrespective of the time.
It depends on the Officer who saw the infringment.
He may overlook it, or pull her over and give her the R1000 fine depending on his mood.

It may be logical but it's still unlawful.

Depending on circumstances you may be charged with reckless and negligent driving.
