Default Kabar TDi clones - who makes them?

The Mrs is considering a TDi for EDC together with the other perepharnalia of SA life.

Can someone tell me who makes the local clones?

And knife classes for the TDi?

I think Xavier Knox makes a clone Ds. You can find him on Facebook and I think his knife page is Echo.delta.charlie. Knives and tools.

Because that Xavier Knox looks great, the handle has more going on in terms of looks, then there is the fact that it has two edges on it.

Because I would like a minor adjustment or two on the cutting edge.

Custom knives are so much nicer than factory.

Xavier's version isn't an exact clone but definitely inspired by the TDI. He made several changes he felt were improvements. The sheath is much better too (Geoff Carter IIRC)

Mr X is very open to input and will happily grind edges to your spec. But be prepared to wait a while if any major design changes are requested

Go for the Xavier Knox version. I have one and am very happy with it. Very well made and I'm happy to support local producers.
