Kizer Folders: any thoughts
Hey all,
After reading quite a few decent things about Kizer folders, I'm toying with taking the plunge; anyone have any experience with them?

Dr Google delivers this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPM_S30V_steel
The CPM-S35VN has apparently been called the best knife steel available.
From the photos on their website I am sure that the ergonomics of the grips together with the blade shapes and bevels will give superb handling qualities.

For the money I don't think you will get a better knife considering the fact that s35 vn steal is used as well as titanium handles. This is on their higher end models. If u look at We knifes which makes use of the same materials is dubble the price. An the s35vn steal is a great height quality steal

Re: Kizer Folders: any thoughts
I have the kizer escort that I got a couple weeks ago. I have 2 zt knives. The 0452cf and 0562. They were R3800 and R3400 where I bought them. The kizer was R2000. I wanted to try kizer because I started to love the titanium frame lock flippers and kizers were less expensive. I can only give initial thoughts and although it's not as high end feeling as ZT, for me it's quite close. It feels very smooth and is actually more fun to play with. I will definitely be getting a few more. Hope that helps a bit.

I was also very much interested in the Kizer Escort, but have read guys were complaining about the detent (being too loose) and also the thin blade stop pin. pskriel what is you thoughts regarding these 2 issues?

Re: Kizer Folders: any thoughts
Sorry I'm only replying now. I don't get notifications from this site. Don't know why.. Hope it's not too late to help. Since then I got a Kizer Nomad and got more experience with the Escort. It is true about the detent. I guess you know the difference between light switch and push button opening? Although the detent is a bit weaker if you push button it still deploys every time. If you light switch it doesn't.. but it locks up without failing every time without a problem. The stop pin is a bit smaller than I would like it but I am not worried because it's still enough for just about any uses that a folder can do. So I'm not saying it can't fail but I really wouldn't worry. The only reason I would like it bigger is probably because I like my knives to be as strong as possible even though it is usually unnecessary. Hope it helps 👍

Re: Kizer Folders: any thoughts
I forgot to add it deploys every time without failing if you push button it. In case you don't know push button is like pressing down on the flipper tab and light switch is like pulling back on the flipper tab 🗡👍
