... articles like this one (and the biased and inaccurate way in which things are reported) is part of the reason why inter-race relations in our country have suffered in recent times...

I personally think that journalists like this need to be taken to task!

They are doing exactly what they are paid and trained to do - sensationalise and drive clicks.
Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:
But I know one thing that never dies,
the glory of the great dead.

Too true, bud. That said (and in reality for those of us who live here in SA), this is not helping how the different races perceive each other... and it pisses me off.

As an anecdote, I am a runner and tend to train in different areas and on a fairly regular basis. Over the last couple of years (probably since the EFF have started with their anti-minorities, anti-white, anti-colonial, anti-you-name-it bulls#t) I have noticed that other pedestrians (mainly non-runners) hardly greet me as a fellow user of the road verge and pathways (and often don't greet me (at all), even when I greet them first)... IMHO this is indicative of certain people perhaps believing the race baiting and anti-minority drivel that the EFF and others (including certain members of the ANC and the Cabinet) feed to the masses.

It all rather worrying to me...

That would make it a high-powered military grade assault bakkie?
