Re: Hunting/processing a Giraffe: suggestions/tips ?
The family used to hunt one giraffe per season on the family farm. Made biltong and wors of the whole giraffe. Stocked most of the family for months.
Best portion. We took the leg bones, built the braai fire on top of the bones. Took the bones out of the hot ash the next morning and had marrow until it came of your ears

Re: Hunting/processing a Giraffe: suggestions/tips ?
My brother have hunted three in the last two years. The largest one the skinned carcass was well over 550kilogram and delivered more than 400kilogram deboned meat. The meat is very lean and you will need fat from either sheep or pork if you want to make sausages.
A headshot at close range works best according to him. He use a 308 loaded with 200gr SakoHammerhead.
