Re: Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
My local DFO now refuses to give a printout. My BIL went to the SAPS close to work and they gave him a printout but would not stamp it. His own DFO must stamp it. Same DFO as me.
Gun shop will not hand over firearm without a stamp.
I went to the same DFO close to work and managed to get a printout with a stamp. They did not ask... Was told that this is not a licence and I do with it at my own risk.
Will collect the firearm later today.

Re: Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
As a dealer I would not release the gun to you. Don't be surprised if your dealer doesn't

Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
Dealers will not release a FA on a printout from the DFO yet they are happy to release it on a S21 which is also a printout from the DFO.
What is preventing SAPS to implement a temp license system similar to the one used for drivers licenses?

Re: Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
Who carries that can if the print out is forged? The Dealer has too much at stake do do these favours.

Re: Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
In a perfect world the dealer should be able to check on a online system if a license was allocated to a individual, cards can also be forged

Re: Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
All these fixes being suggested are indicative just how Fked up the entire system is.

Re: Collecting guns on SAPS printout.
The DFO that processed the application should stamp and sign a release note so if there is any comeback the SAPS must go speak to the DFO and not come down with all sorts of threats and stress for the LGS owner.
