Vanguard trigger guard holster!
Here is something new and innovative for those inclined to mexican carry or who would want to put a Glock or M&P in a bag or handbag.

Re: Vanguard trigger guard holster!
I must point out once more that it is illegal to carry your firearm "Mexican" style in SA and you would be best served with a good quality concealed carry holster that completely cover the trigger guard.
That being said, I think that this could have an excellent application for carrying a weapon in a bag or if you sleep with your gun under a pillow.
I'll make a trial model and see what the cost would be.

Where oh where do you anchor the cord securely :o
This does look like a simple but effective idea with a number of applications."You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life."

Re: Vanguard trigger guard holster!
Well I would say that carrying it MEX and anchoring it in the wrong place could be an experience not to be repeated.... confused0068
Having said that, I like the application value of under a pillow when this is just about your only option.
Just as a afterthought....would this device coupled with a belt clip on a Glock not satisfy the carry criteria of the FCA?

Interesting idea IMO but very specialized I think...bags, maybe...pillows? Dunno...stopped sleeping with a gun under my pillow years ago...bad dreams can becone 'really' bad if you do that.

Re: Vanguard trigger guard holster!
Ikor,
I totally agree with you about sleeping with a gun under the pillow is a bad idea in general and in general I do not do it. However when traveling and not at home, it can become the only option and under these conditions I would go for a gun under a pillow and having such a device would add to the safety factor as the trigger guard is covered like in a holster.

Re: Vanguard trigger guard holster!
Geoff how about experimenting with a design that utilises the rail for guns that have it? That way the "holster" can only be removed "forward" ?
