Junior in IDPA

Hi all.

Trick question. According to IDPA rulebook pg.52 a junior competitor is a shooter between die age of 12 and 20 years.

"Juniors, ages 12 years through 20 years, may also compete in IDPA matches..."

But then a couple of lines when they talk about "High Junior" they indicate ages between 12 and 18.

"...High Junior (ages 12 to 18)..."

I am 18, turning 19 in a couple of weeks. Am I still a Junior shooter or not?

You will not qualify as Junior Shooter once you turn 19 years of age.

Here is the answer from IDPA HQ:

The correct age for specialty Division Junior recognition is 12-18. The reference to 12 through 20 is only for membership due to US laws regarding minors’ contracts and guns.
