    Default EDC while hiking

    As the title states, what carry method works for you guys while hiking? Specifically multi-day hiking. Shoulder holster, chest holster, off-body?

    I just can't imagine carrying a firearm on your belt and doing 15km+ per day for a few days.

    I just carry AIWB as per normal. Drawing isn’t quick due to the bag’s waist strap.

    def AIWB

    running was a bit of an issue, but hikes/nature trails seemed fine

    I have never hiked before so please excuse my lack of knowledge. Are firearms "allowed" on the public hiking trails?

    I used to carry my .22lr pistol in the backpacks side pocket. Still accessible with a bit of effort without taking off the backpack. Always had either my 22 or CZ75 with me on every hike I ever did after 1993. Even had it on the Drakensberg hike...

    As always, don't advertise. Don't tell. Conceal well.

    Appendix as usual, stif belt but a little looser.

    If you're wearing a long shirt you can go AOWB too.

    I use a pistol moonbag thing when running or hiking for a while, climbing etc

    It really depends on what firearm/gear you have (or intend on using), but if I were hiking for a few days on end, I'd go with a chest holster.

    Semi off Topic.
    Please point me in direction for a BellyBand. Looking for one when we take bikes on offroad trails.
