    Default Combative Knife Thread

I have accidentally :) , begun a collection of what I am calling knives designed around combative principles, knives like Pikal, push daggers and shivvy type blades. I follow but have not trained with South Narc, Ed Calderon and am slowly learning about others (like the Piper system, who knew ). I thought a discussion around center line blades and work would be interesting also show us what you have and why you like it? Knives I know I am missing, the Colonel knives blade, the Kabar TDI, the Benchmade SOCP, what else? . Let me know.

It's really retained for my butt, anything else is secondary :)

I have a Spyderco P'kal and a Shivworks Disciple, neither of which I carry enough. I also have the TDI, but am stuck with the God-awful original sheath. Anyone know who makes better sheaths?

I mostly carry a Xavier Knox Vixen these days because it pushes back into my hand when stabbing, kind of like the TDI, but is also a bit dual edged.

I'm also interested in Arno Barlow's new knife design, also made by Xavier Knox, which is also dual edged and, as I understand, is mostly made for P'kal weak hand carry.

You have some great kit there :) Xavier gets a lot of my money and for good reason.

Thanks! Should you be interested in another XK blade, I am selling a Bad'ger with trainer.

Has anyone here had any experience with the Cold Steel OSS?
How strong is the blade (obviously won't be using it for camping or or anything of the sorts, but just curious).

They are priced at about R2000 so not cheap, for me anyway.

There is a thread where a PH's son killed a wounded buffalo with this knife. The father was grappling with the buffalo and the son rushed to help. The knife is light and nimble.
