What can we buy that is appropriate for ....

Hi, we are coming over from the UK for our friends birthday who is an avid hunter . as a special occasion were thinking of buying an all leather rifle slip - is this something that is either practical or accepted in game hunting in SA?

Also want to buy him a hunting knife or skinning knife, is there a brand of knife that is considered high in esteem in South African hunting circles but difficult to buy in SA ???

Or is there something else we should consider

You did not mention when you coming over to SA, but if i were you I would get one of the local SA Knifemakers to make yoy a decent skinner with maybe a special message ethced on the blade for your friend.

SA has some of the best knife makers and i am sure you will be able to make the gift special to your friend.
