Default Calling TStone / pre64 et al. (Creedmoor ammo)

Gents, anyone used this 6.5 Creedmoor ammo for hunting?

It was R360 a box at Camdix so I grabbed a box.

From what i know of S&B ammo is that they can be compared to PMP brown box. At one stage[maybe still] they had a range loaded with Grom bullets which were very good, having a solid rear shank.
If this is,and it looks like it,their budget ammo, then treat it as such. Unfortunately [again,in the past and maybe still so] Their rifle cases were also pretty much bottom end for re loading.
Up to Impala it should be fine but i really have no experience with this particular product.

I've used the 6.5x55 version of it, not bad on springbok or warthog. Never shot anything bigger with it.

I have no experience with this, but i tend to agree with pre here. Most cup and core bullets in 6.5mm will work well on game up to impala and blesbuck size.

TStone, would you rate Federal Fusion 140gn (Creedmoor factory ammo) higher? Also, what is the maximum size animal one should attempt with a CM? (non-headshot)... I ask as I have a "Messor-06" for larger stuff, but would still like to know :)

I have no experience with the 140gr Fusion. Federal recommends it for whitetail deer, so I guess blesbuck size animals. I have shot kudu, blue wildebeest and eland (sub adult bulls and cows) with the creedmoor with heart lung shots, however, I was using monolithic bullets (Hornady GMX and Peregrine VLR-4). If you have a .30-'06, I'd suggest that you rather use that for the bigger stuff.

So I took them to the range today, shot a quick group with them, and either it was my day, or this stuff is quite good.
