Yeah sorry about that. I posted from Mobile and then needed to use Tapatalk to fix the spacing. It seems Tapatalk then screwed the heading. Perhaps a friendly neighbourhood moderator can assist with correcting it.

Weeelll. If the .043" is the right dimension, my bolt is faulty, as it measures .033". FFS

Haha you had me worried, I knew I read it somewhere but could not find it anywhere by using the search function. Do you have access to a quality vernier with depth guage to measure your bolts recess?

Never been accused of owning a quality vernier before!

Milling the bolt face deeper should NOT be a challenge for a decent gunsmith... such as MRST or Precision Ballistics.

    Just sayin!

I quite agree. However, it is a recall, and the importers should have a supply of bolts to remedy the situation. I know, TIA, but.....

Has anybody actually experienced an AD when dropping the bolt, I have about 750-1000 rounds through mine with not a single issue.

I never had the time yet to inspect/measure my bolt, but will do before i shoot it again

Quite. But considering that MRST wasn't even informed of the recall by S&W... and I would expect any replacement bolts will take months to arrive, what would you prefer?

Do you want to get the guns up and running, or park them for maybe a year?

I'm certain the importers will pick up any costs.
