Re: Legal implications of sold weapon 4 years ago - never licenced.
Ive heard the saying" the pawpaw hit the fan". Treeman, it seems to me you crashed the delivery truck of pawpaw 's into the wind turbine. I hope you can resolve the matter.
As a matter of interest. Did he pay for the shotgun. If so does he want his money back?

If he still want it, why not book it in at dealer stock

The problem with booking it into dealer stock with the new owner taking a long time to license / or never license it, is that you as the legal licensed owner still remains responsible for the storage fees.

I think that you need to give thanks to who ever you do give thanks to that this was resolved so quickly. Your DFO could easily have zapped you. The universe was really looking out for you. Buy a Lotto ticket tonight

,,,,
I do not mind having the weapon, a second wing gun will come in handy now that Cody is 11 and 6 years old.
I do mind someone causing issues for me, I do mind being wronged - some one elses actions nearly got me into legal trouble, I do not tolerate that.
In 1990 I was wronged by someones decisions and when I came out of hospitable I said no one will ever wrong me again and get away with it.I got plenty time to think this through. THEY ONLY EXIST BECAUSE WE ALLOW THEM TOO.
