Brno .22 Model 2E

Good day all

The old oom that i rent from, wants to sell a Brno .22 Model 2E. He paid R1000.00 for it in 1995. The rifle is in very good condition, he only shot 5 shots with it that was on a stray dog on the farm. He asked me to make a offer.

So what would be a fair offer for a rifle like this.

2 K is a often seen price and really nice ones over R3000.
Knowing what I know know now I actually missed some good ones here in PE at R2000 ish because I thought it a bit much. ------------- 5 shots ?.

Most I have seen is R4500 - 3/4 times now, an they looked un used.

Up here in Joeys the walnut stocked ones fetch a slight premium over the beech stocks. If you can get one for R3k you and your sons and their sons have many years of fun ahead.

You going through so much ‘trouble’ to get the licence, it is worth to bying ‘n good rifle. My 2c.

I bought a second hand Anschutz for R7.5k, do a decent clean and it shoots various rounds at 15mm at 50m. An accurate rifle is such a bonus, it bring smiles to everyone around, expecially when a 6 year old grandchild have his first shoot an hit the 50m gong 3/3 (gong size = 50mm)

The BRNOs have a very good reputation for build quality and accuracy. I've seen them advertised at between R4-5K and they've always gone quickly.
