3D printer files for Gun-stuff
Good day
I recall a thread where members shared STL files for printing Gun stuff etc. Unfortunately I can't find it now. Back then I had CZ grips and a shotgun caddy made. But the Courier fees made it a once off thing. Now.... Eventually there is a small business in my dorp that does 3D printing. I've send the lady STL files for three different chamber flags, but I know there are a lot more nice to haves out there.
Any other nice to have things you guys are willing to share ? Keychains etc.
TIA

Some nice stuff there. I'm amazed that thingiverse hasn't been blackmailed into ditching gun related files yet.

It would depend on the filament used.
PLA, the cheapest and easiest to print with quickly soften and lose strength in a warm chamber. Strart softening from around 60 degrees, printing temp in its molten state is 200 degrees average. Sometimes a little lower or higher depending on the manufacturer and colour.
ABS or PETG would be more suitable and durable.
Softens at a higher temperature and melting point for printing is around 225 average. Also depending on manufacturer and colour.
There are other engineering filaments available for an ultimately stronger end user product but availability on some is an issue at times. (most of the time).
Their printing temp is around 250 or 255 or so if I remember correctly from my last printing session with one.
The temperature above runs on the limit of most smaller affordable printers.
Resin prints may be more durable and take more heat, I'm not entirely sure and haven't worked with a resin printer.
I'll look it up for you.

Re: 3D printer files for Gun-stuff
Thanks that's interesting. I'm keen to have a go at 3d printing but have too many other expensive interests to warrant the expense.

Speedloaders also seems to be popular https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q...elevant&page=1
Will be printing one for my BHP tomorrow. Lets see how it turns out.

I plan to scan the length of pull spacers on the Oryx and MDT XRS chassis systems. Once I'm done, I'll upload the files.
