In future there will be fewer divisions.

While on the subject (sort of). Do you think that IPSC should cull Major power factor for rifles so that the slow dudes with .308's can be incentivised to shoot faster against the Minor factor shooters?
In IPSC major isn’t a different division. Major shoots directly against minor. There is a just a difference in scoring. So slower guy with 308 gets better score in C’d and D’s.

Same concept as 3GN ( 3 Gun Nation). If you shoot Heavy (no, T, not a reference to you), >=308, 12G and 45ACP, you only have to land one shot on target.

Fully agree with this statement, well done to SADPA & all involved for organizing a very well planned & attended match.

Lots of happy campers make for successful future matches

It is the same concept, DMG much more popular though.

Having a beer after the game is more desirable than breaking down stages if you missed it !!!

You still going on about that? You need to take some advice from Elsa.

You are correct. My question was if Major Factor (Factor, not division) should be culled (in the same division) so that only Minor is recognised.

IDPA / SADPA is unlikely to adopt a "Minor / Major" scoring system like IPSC uses. Thus in order to get .308 FAL owners (for example) to compete they have Major divisions. Same as for example the Paris to Dakar race. Yes the guy with the KTM will be overall winner. But the Swedes or Russians with 10 ton trucks are willing to enter and pump money into the event because they have their own division / class they can win.

If there was a division ONLY for completion AR's the people with FAL's would quickly find somewhere else to spend their money.
