Leupold scope?
Good day.
The "Leupold vx-freedom 3-9X40 Matte duplex scope.
Cost-R3895 new
Is this scope good enough for general bushveld hunting? I'm aware it's entry level, but will it be more than good enough?
Thank you
Luke Nic

Good scope for hunting. (Can't go wrong with Leupold) Shop around for the best price.

Re: Leupold scope?
I was very impressed with the leupold freedom range. I ended up getting the rimfire version for my .22. Well priced too. Look around, the 3-9 comes on special locally now and again.

Re: Leupold scope?
I have the 4x12 milldot on my rifle and I am impressed with the quality of the optics at the price.

Re: Leupold scope?
You will have to look far and wide to find a complaint about Leupold.
And the magnification (3-9) is more than enough for bushveld hunting.
Most folks hunting bushveld use a setting of 4x-7x magnification. Stronger than that cause the crosshair to weave around the target.
The higher magnification (9x) is handy to shoot in a rifle, or practice over a bench. It also comes in handy on long shots if there is time for it.
