Old SADF stuff

Hi guys,

I am looking for some of the more unusual everyday stuff which was used in the SADF if anyone has any that they no longer want. For example: does anyone have a Ridesafe band that they no longer want? Or maybe a soapbox? Anything that is outside of the normal run-of-the-mill but that triggers memories of the time would be appreciated. I will also happily receive any webbing, uniforms or other stuff that would otherwise be destined for being turfed.

Thanks Grumpy. I have a bayonet already but not the frog (i.e. the webbing bit to onto the belt). Not much to swap I'm afraid.

we used the same old green webbing type holsters as we used to use for the Star 9mm. later but this was in the SANDF we used a brown tent material type holster. dont know what they use today.

In my day we carried Stars in webbing material holsters - the holster provided for an extra box of ammo to be carried if I remember correctly.

With place for a spare mag and a cleaning rod, or in our case a pen.
