Alright, but have your burials increased overall?

How stable are covid patients on ventilators?
I have not ventilated COVID patients, but plenty of ARDS and we ended up doing 72 hours of 12 hours on their tummy- Prone and 12 hours on their back intermittently.
These patients does not like to be turned or moved and desaturate easily. So taking them for CT scans etc is always risky.

But let Lithium rather answer the question.

So nobody is dying from anything else?
It would be interesting to see the ratio of people dying with COVID vs the ones dying because of COVID.

I also wondered about this one. Lots of people are getting murdered since level 3 started. Do they only make up 0.1% of all deaths?

Nope. The number of funerals we are doing is less than last year. And a lot of funeral directors are saying the same

Deaths from other than Covid are down. I am thinking that it is due to the old age homes being in lockdown ( although they are struggling with covid as well), operations are canceled, booze was stopped and there was a curfew.

I may be wrong, but I don't think Covid kills you. It causes complications that cause death, much like AIDS doesn't kill you but rather complications. Covid is being put on death certificates as a contributory cause of death, but not the actual cause of death. Anyone that says that they have seen a South African death certificate with COVID as a cause of death is talking shit, because home affairs does not put an actual cause of death on the death certificate any more, only "natural causes" , " unnatural causes" , and "under investigation".

I find this strange, because if I read the news, the cemetery care taker in PE cannot sleep because he is abnormally busy with burials.
Not doubting your numbers, just pointing out the amount of propaganda doing the rounds.

    Thanks for the info Finkelstein.

So in an emergency situation, do you think if ICU nursing was reduced from a 1:1 to 1:2 ratio, covid patients would suffer?
