I owned one, while it has nice features it wasn't a good gun. The ambi mag release was so sensitive I'd often find my mag on the car seat, the finish showed rust after about a month of carry, spare mags were difficult to find and there are no decent holster options available. Rather buy a better brand and model.

As much as Taurus have come a long way since they first hit the market, they still not the greatest firearm out there. I too went down this road contemplating which is the best FA for me. The taurus was right up there in my list and then I read more reviews, read more threads on this forum and the more I looked up the FA and it competitors I realized the best thing....... Go buy Glock!!!

For around R6.5k you can find a new Girsan MC28. Not bad and comes with a local lifetime warranty. Used they go around R5k, if you can find one.

    For R7k you can buy a new Glock19 gen 3. Used R5 - 6k.

For R6k you can get a new S&W SD9VE. My only complaint is about the trigger.

Don't buy the Taurus. Not even for half the price.
