    Default NRL22 - Bloemfontein

    Hi guys.
We just had the first NRL22 shoot in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
It was a test to see if the format is worth shooting and if it would be worth while doing regularly.
    We had the following entrants:
    16x Men
    3x Ladies
    3x Juniors (14 and under)

Men and ladies shot the official NRL22 February Course of fire. (https://nrl22.org/wp-content/uploads...y-2020-COF.pdf)
Juniors shot at the same distances, but we upscaled some of the targets for them.

Judging from the feedback, it is definitely worth hosting again and we shall do so.
We plan on getting more target sets so that we can run 2 or maybe even 3 stages in one go to speed up the proceedings.

    Results were as follows:

Can't wait to have the $$ to refurbish my old Brno Mod1 to get in to this. It's such good training at an affordable price.

These are seriously fun shoots! I also have a Mod1 that I want to get running for these shoots. I'm using a 10/22 at the moment.

Yup problem with my Mod1 is it's a 1947...hence needs either new bluing or ceracote, and then will need a custom stock inlet. Combine all that and it's not cheap, but I will get it done at some stage

How far out do you take the .22s, and what size (moa/mrad) targets?

We shoot between 25m and 100m. Targets vary from 1/4" to 6" round gongs.
Here's Pieter Malan's video from the Western Cape match to give you an idea of how the shoots are.

1/4" like in 6.35mm? thats quite small... (~1 MOA at 25m)

6" at even 100m is huge (6 MOA at 100m). My .22 isn't a tackdriver and I can hit a 6" gong at 200m quite well with it. Of course, in no-wind conditions!
