Re: Rimfire 22
Hi Rudolf.
Where are you based?
If it interests you, I have been considering selling my Star model F, target version pistol.
It has a 6 inch barrel, square profile.
Rifling is good, barrel is clean.
I fitted an adjustable LPA sight, it is adjustable in height and sideways.
It is an accurate pistol, fun to shoot.
I have 3 10 round magazines included.
Condition is good with general wear.
PM me if interested, it will come in at 3 fifths of your budget so giving you 2k left over to dealer stock or buy ammo etc

Re: Rimfire 22
I suggest you also have a look at the older Brownings. Quality & accuracy is excellent and you will find one in your budget. In my opinion, the best "bang for your buck" in 22 target pistols.
They go by various names and come in several different configurations of grip, barrel length as well as square profile and round profile barrels. Start by googling "Browning Medalist Pistol".
Be aware that if you're planning to get seriously into competetion there is often a barrel length restriction of 6 inches and some of these pistols have barrels about 6 and a quarter inches long but most seem to be 6 inches.
Classic Arms has them on almost every auction and probably a few of them in stock.

Re: Rimfire 22
Will do.
I'll contact you later, send some pics and chat to meet up over the weekend, possibly arrange to test at Skietbaan?
Keep in mind, it is a Star and not a Browning, S&W or alike.
Many will comment on that.
It has its place as a fun target shooter.

Re: Rimfire 22
For the price nothing comes close to the Browning. Trigger is superb. More modern target guns will likely have better accuracy and parts availability.
