    Default Xtreme Defender 90gr +P

    Hi there,

Has anyone else looked into the ballistics of this round? I stumbled onto a video from MAC testing the ballistics of different 9mm rounds after passing through different mediums such as wood & sheet metal ("9mm Defensive load Barrier Tests!"). I was interested to see the performance of the HST's and was very surprised by this solid copper round. Normally I completely ignore that sort of thing because I find them gimmicky. But these were getting really consistent penetration through every barrier as well as through plain denim. Plus they were making hollow point sized permanent wound cavities. I then read a study (2016/17 Joint Agency Ballistics Test for Defensive Handgun Ammunition), and the outcomes for these rounds were really really good.

They created larger PWCs than hollow points in both ballistics gel and animal meat, in every calibre (with & without a barrier). Additionally, every calibre penetrated ballistics gel between 16-20 inches, again, with & without a barrier.

This seems too good to be true?
