For one, its a PCC in 9mmP, you can spend R600 load 250-300 rounds and enjoy a full day of training/fun/target practice etc. for less than a game of golf (with a cart)! What a pleasure. You can also enjoy shooting it at more suburban/restrictive ranges, as in the case where my club range does not allow rifle cartridges, only shotty and pistol calibers.

Second, have a look at the prices of its "new in the box" competitors, generally R18-22K, take into account their availability as well. That is decent 5.56x45/7.62x39mm SLR rifle money. Not to say that Stribog's/Scorpions/Saiga's aren't worth their price tags based on the build quality and components used, I would say they most certainly are. However, is it really all that necessary to have free floated barrels, M-Lock slots, threaded muzzles etc. on a PCC? Not to mention the R800 a pop "proprietary" magazines you have to buy for them.

Yes the CX4 is an older design, it may not look as "tacticool" as its more modern counterparts, that is also up to the discretion of the individual, a more "Ranch" looking carbine like a PC Carbine or CX4 can also be an advantage or preferred in certain situations/applications. I have also never heard of any major drawbacks with regard to living with them, CX4 that is, and I do have an acquaintance in Germany who loves his. For that price, well worth it methinks.
Agreed, its a perfect match for anyone with a Beretta, Vektor SP1

A quick Google search shows 30 round magazines available on the Beretta USA website, as well as at Brownells. Not sure about local availability.

Who imports Beretta? Maybe they will be able to answer.

Just read a thread on the shotgun discussion forum about the Beretta 1301. It seems Beretta has poor to non existant after sales back up in SA.

That would be my only concern about the Cx4.
