    Default AR Platform Competitions

Are there any shooting competitions or challenges for AR platform Semi-Auto rifles?

    IPSC Rifle is the bizniz!

Practical rifle shooting in IPSC also includes Mini-rifle matches and then to a lesser degree, PCC matches.

See these videos to get an idea about what a big match looks like from last years world shoot in Sweden.

How did you motivate the gun if you didn't even know where you could compete with it?

There are quite a few accredited associations who run SLR matches. Most of these are open to all makes and types of SLR's, AR-types included.

A few that I can think of right now:
    SAPSA (IPSC)
    SADPA (IDPA)
    SAPSF (Pin Shooting)
CHASA (Through all their affiliated hunting associations)
    NHSA
    NARFO
There may be a few more.

My suggstion would be to choose a sport you like first, then choose a suitable range of fire arms for the particular sport.
