Optics mount suggestions
Good day gentlemen
I have a saiga 101 with a red dot on a utg pro picatinny rail. The type that latches onto the side mount on the receiver. It performs fine and i dont have any issues in terms of accuracy.
I do hovever want to get a mounting solution that is a bit more "elegant"
Especially something more cheek-weld-friendly.
I was thinking about getting something like an ultimak gas-tube rail. There are rumors that the fry optics. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Re: Optics mount suggestions
Can’t really help much as I too use the same side mount.
I do know that in general the dust cover mounts are not reliable, especially back when I tried to find other options.

I agree with you on the iffy dust. Cover mounts, which is why I'm considering getting a gas-tube mount

Re: Optics mount suggestions
That does look like a good option.
Too far forward for my liking. But that’s personal taste.

Re: Optics mount suggestions
I was doubtful about the forward mounting but it works well, will try at the next steel challenge match.
