    Spoke to a friend of mine who used to work at the Government Printers. He said there is no backlog in printing the cards, they are up to date. It is the policr not collecting the cards for distribution. According to him and his contact at that department, when they receive 40000 applications from the police it takes them 2 weeks to print it.
