    Varmint: troublesome person / troublesome wild animal.

    The Riverine Rabbit is critically endangered. How can anyone describe any South African species of the Lagomorph order as "varmint"? Which species of rabbits / hares destroys crops, butcher sheep or do any harm to poultry farms to be labelled as "varmint"?

    I agree with DrDave regarding "varmint hunting", especially when it comes to rabbits.
