Re: Homemade annealing machine info..
I did mention some time ago about a CORBIN SWAGE setup for making bullets
http://www.corbins.com/
There are a large number of options including BONDED lead / gilding metal
Some one said they were not interested in -- "more hassles" ...
Be inventive and make for your buddies and recover your costs
As I also mentioned some time ago -- the Gov does not need to make ANY laws for firearms
Soon they will just be priced out of the reach of most people !
EDIT:
The Corbin swaging presses can ALSO be used for reloading !

Re: Homemade annealing machine info..
My idea is a mandrel from a non-conductive heat resistant material such as bakelite, mounted on a small base that activates a microswitch.
When you push down with the case neck on the switch/base, the mandrel in the case mouth locates the neck in the centre of the coil.
The switch closing, activates the timer that powers up the induction heater which heats ONLY the neck and shoulder. This is easily achieved by placing the coil correctly relative to the base/switch.
Once the LED indicating power extinguishes you drop the case into water (or air cool if that is what you do).

Re: Homemade annealing machine info..
The coil is powered by a resonant, high frequency circuit. It used to be quite a challenge to design, however modules have become available that is dedicated and cheap (I paid R250 for a 1000W module).
I cannot vouch for the quality at this time.

Thank You for Your comments. A friend of mine is busy building one and I will forward Your comments as the subject is a bit too technical for me.
