Hi all!

My name is Jarred (brother you another Marshy in the GS community), and I’m sending a massive “howzit” to everyone from the Big Smoke (aka Lockdown central).

I have some experience with firearms (both game hunting and wing shooting, as well as the usual range shoot), and I’m looking to grow my interest into a way of life.

I’ve managed to finally get the proverbial ball rolling and I’ve completed my forearm competency in both pistol and manual loading rifles and I’m looking to add self-loading rifle to the list in the near future.

Thanks for creating a great community for both seasoned pros and upcoming newbies like myself. I hope to learn a lot from you all!

Just a quick question - does anyone know if DFO’s are accepting competency applications at the moment? And if so, does anyone have experience with the Rosebank (JHB) DFO?

Forearm competency is important, especially for handgun as a strong grip can help control recoil!
