Thumbs up Crew Dragon will sooon be Launching

SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, May 27 for Falcon 9’s launch of Crew Dragon’s second demonstration (Demo-2) mission from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
This test flight with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on board the Dragon spacecraft will return human spaceflight to the United States.

THIS is what I will be doing on Wednesday ....

Some are reaching for the Stars -- some are still trying to find their rectum !

Here is timeline breakdown of the launch day (this channel is my goto for space launch live streams); T=0 is 22:33:33 SAST on Wednesday.

Hopefully we get to see the launch on Wednesday since there 60% on the mission being delayed due to bad weather, they need clear skies and seas from the launch site and for something like 1000km along the suborbital path for a go.

Scott Manley's channel is also one of my goto space channels. This is super exciting and I hope for a complete success, whether on Wednesday, or on Saturday if it is delayed.

That almost looks like Joe Biden. Hopefully if it is, they leave him up there

No streaming on that one unfortunately.

Virgin Orbit does not excite me that much; mainly because Rocketlab really took the small payload market by storm.

Heretic, dropping stuff from 747s is seriously cool

It would be very good for everyone if there's an additional option in the Electron class. I heard numbers of ~$12m for a Virgin Orbit launch, which is quite good...

But... Space is hard. This from the Virgin Orbit Twatter:

"We've confirmed a clean release from the aircraft. However, the mission terminated shortly into the flight. Cosmic Girl and our flight crew are safe and returning to base."

If it was easy, we'd all be sitting on the moon, sipping G & T's, and enjoying the view of earth.

Although I'm not as excited about Virgin Galactic as about SpaceX, Blue Origin, Rocketlab, and many others, I still hope they will be successful, as competition is always a good thing.
