Good day,

Can anyone tell me if I buy one in canada will there be complications if I take it in my luggage? It will be the at one thumbhole.

I think not. I brought a Bell & Carlson stock home from Canada with me, only trouble was fitting it in my suitcase. You may have to pay import tax on it if it is above a certain value.
