    Fair enough H5 is definitely not a headshot gun.

    What I read between the lines:

    The "hunter" used an unfamiliar rifle, not zeroed before, shooting milsurp 55gn FMJ ammo known for it's poor accuracy and even poorer terminal ballistics to attempt a head shot at a mobile impala. I can see some opportunities there. For the impala that is...

    Just a few mm off off the brain or spine whould wound the poor animal and let it suffer a slow death.

    Not really the rifle's fault.
