Default First Aid Kits from down under

Over the years I noticed the local South African first aid kits and replenishment packs had deteriorated in quality.
The better quality items being overpriced.

I came across an Australian company that makes excellent products.

Survival Emergency Solutions is a leading innovator in first aid emergency solutions. Founded in 1988 by twin brothers Jerry and Tim Tyrrell in response to personal tragedy, Survival’s mission is to offer safety and security to every individual around the globe.
Beginning 30 years ago with an First Aid Emergency Handbook – which won an Australian Design Award and has sold more than two million copies worldwide – Survival has since developed a full range of pioneering first aid products and recently released the latest version of its iFirstAid app.
Over the past three decades, Survival has given away more than 50,000 First Aid KITs and educated countless individuals in proper first aid practices to support its mission of creating a safer world for us all.

    An excellent handbook by them:

These seem to be the exact ones Safari and Outdoor are selling locally

A much over looked subject and a matter that just seems to always gets shoved too the back of mind.
I have two small first aid kits that go in vehicle when we travel, hunt etc I do not even know whats in them, they just there.
I need to catch a wake up on this subject.

Would you recommend this type of first aid kit? I've been wanting to get a new one for the car, but always worried the generic types don't actually have decent equipment.

My daughter broke her arm at an outdoor adventure centre last year (usual apathetic staff not paying attention) on the obstacle courses.

The medical kit they had on hand was five times too big for what they had in it. Handful of small bandages and plasters. This is a venue where the orthopedic surgeon that treated my daughter said he gets a lot of business from. Luckily my small first aid kit in my car had a triangular bandage that we used to support the arm (good friend and dr was on site).

The venue weren’t interested in helping at the time, nor afterwards. Didn’t even respond to my suggestion to improve their medical kit.

As a result I’ve restocked and improved my kit. Just this weekend updated it as well my my wife’s in her car.

Over the years the kits that were being sold in our market became less and less quality. ( Bandages , gauze , dressings tape etc) were watered down ito quality to maximise profit. The better quality ones from so called specialist places are over priced ( say what you want - they are fleecing the public) .

This Kit is of much better quality and the manner it is laid out makes it easy for anyone to use.

I have NO affliation with this product in anyway.
