Re: Rudolph VS Vortex
What makes the choice easy for me is the difference in warranty and after sales service.
With the Vortex, if you have an issue your scope gets replaced, no matter what. Yes, even if you managed to drop it off your bakkie.
With the Rudolph you get referred to the fine print, even if it just malfunctions all by itself. The "No Questions Asked" warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. A pity. This could have been a great scope...

They both really nice scopes, what is your planned use of rifle, a 24 x scope on a .270 Win for hunting is a lot of scope if you walk and stalk. Then setting and checking parralex before each shot is also a dogs life mission.
I have a 3 to 9 on my .270 and it works a charm.
I have a 24 x scope on my 308 Mag and it does what it should, but I would hate that scope on my .270

Re: Rudolph VS Vortex
Rifle Nationals 2017 in CPT 2 Rudolph 1-6 went down. I'd stay clear.

Re: Rudolph VS Vortex
I have a Howa 338 Win Mag with a Rudolf scope 4-16
With standard rings< I can't seem to see anything at 12 times or bigger
I need to move the scope closer to my eye. But the 25mm part of the tube seems a bit shorter than some other makes. So I can't slide the scope any futher back with standard mounts

Out of those. Vortex. Lynx is also a good scope. They offer same no nonsense guarantee. And they are local and have been for many years. I have Lynx on my 308 for last 25 years. Had the 6-24 Professional on. And about 2 years back when launched added the LX3 5-30x 56 onto the 308. The LX3 range is brilliant in Lynx.

Re: Rudolph VS Vortex
The Athlon range of scopes look very decent for the price and they have a lifetime warranty.
Anybody have experience with them?
