Unfortunately this being a Non-MOS G19, the milling is just for a specific brand of optic.

That being said it was not all doom and gloom. The Holosun shares the same footprint with the much more expensive Trijicon RMR. This means that there is upgrade potential in the future. But I would not be able to move to a Leupold or a Shield.

Bud, when they milled it, did they leave the front posts to fit into the sight? Those front tabs to reduce the optic from moving? Or is the whole area flat?

Total cost was R8700. The milling was 2500 and the optic 6200

I'm actually not sure if they left them.

They do mil the front posts for the RMR. I’m not sure for the Holosun Range.

Ek sal definitief nog fotos post en updates gee.

Update: one thing I have noticed carrying the gun with the optic on is that it collects a bit of fluff. Don't think it's more fluff than with the irons, just think it is more noticeable.

I had to fight the urge to clean it with my t-shirt. Will clean it this weekend properly and give a update on the ease of maintenance.

The RMR collects fluff as well, whether IWB or OWB. With the ACRO not so much of an issue.

Zeiss makes disposable wipes which I bought from S&O. Helps keeping few loose with you in bag, car etc.

    All the best.

Thanks for the info and your perspective on the journey! I can't wait to get my licence for my Glock 19 G5 MOS as well as acquire a 508T v2 when they finally land in SA!

Any idea when the V2 will be landing in SA?
